Al Muimim

Mu'min A believer is what we roughly translate this word as.. Or the one who has Imaan. These words Mu''min, Imaan which stem from the same root word goes way beyond the translation. ا م ن Security, safety, peace.. How beautiful it is when Allah is trying to tell us if we have Imaan we are safe.. Subhan Allah!! Safety in all forms.. We can't define or constrict the safety bestowed on us by Al-Mu'min. A simple example is the blessing we take for granted a lot.. Being able to sleep with security. We would not have ever thanked Allah or thought that this is a big deal. One night if we lose sleep or feel insecure in our own comfort zone do we realise the value of amana .. We are all happily moving about in our lives only because of the security Allah has bestows upon us. Al-Mu'min is a name of Allah. The One who bestowed security and faith.. Contemplating on these words alone can take us to heights where fear or insecurity cannot exist. As faith overcomes all kinds ...

✨Reflections

Before I forget, I wanted to pen down these reflections for myself to review later and I thought it might be beneficial to others if Allah wills. Today's Friday khutuba recording was about Surah Maryam.  ✨First Reflection The Imam spoke about how Zecharia (as) made a private dua asking Allah to grant him an heir from Allah Himself and pleasing to Allah. Maryam 19:5 وَإِنِّى خِفْتُ ٱلْمَوَٰلِىَ مِن وَرَآءِى وَكَانَتِ ٱمْرَأَتِى عَاقِرًا فَهَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا  And indeed, I fear the successors after me, and my wife has been barren, so give me from Yourself an heir Maryam 19:6 يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَۖ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا  Who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob.
