Before I forget, I wanted to pen down these reflections for myself to review later and I thought it might be beneficial to others if Allah wills.
Today's Friday khutuba recording was about Surah Maryam.
✨First Reflection
The Imam spoke about how Zecharia (as) made a private dua asking Allah to grant him an heir from Allah Himself and pleasing to Allah.
Maryam 19:5
And indeed, I fear the successors after me, and my wife has been barren, so give me from Yourself an heir
Maryam 19:6
يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَۖ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا
Who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob. And make him, my Lord, pleasing [to You]."
How a dua becomes so beautiful when you are asking Allah for something, which is again for Allah!!
✨Second Reflection
How a baby is born without a father. Once again, a miracle that shows the omnipotence of Allah. Maryam (as), who was so pure, was accused of doing a crime by the people. The scenario where she is being accused and how she responded as Allah ordered, pointing to the baby without uttering a word to justify herself, which again shows her immense trust in Allah.
When she points to the baby, she trusts in the qudrah of Allah.
✨Third Reflection
Baby Isa (as) starts talking, and we see this as a miracle. Breaking of the norm is usually called a miracle. What we forget as human beings is that all norms are also a miracle.
The ability Allah has given us to talk is also a miracle, but we consider it a norm. In reality, every norm goes back to qudrah of Allah (swt).
We will have no ability to do anything without Allah.
La hawla wala quwata illa billa!!
There is no might nor power except with Allah.
