The Tarbiya




I am trying to grab words and put it together to express my amazement as a mother.

I saw a video of a small boy reciting shahada to his little sister on her death bed, a little girl keeping her wasiya (declaration a person makes whilst alive regarding their property), toddlers staying strong after losing parents...

If Allah made us witness these then definitely it is for a reason. 
How did these mothers achieve to plant such strong, calm, brave, beautiful souls filled with Imaan? 

The foundation of Tawakkul.
The ability to see hereafter in front of their eyes with yaqeen.
The amount of sabr.
The smile of contentment.
The dhikr of Allah in a very difficult situation.

We are struggling, planning, learning, taking notes on how to become a better parent.

Subhan Allah!! 

These children and their parents living and the shaheed have shown us what is the 
REAL TARBIYA or in simple words nurturing.

May Allah forgive us our shortcomings and help us fulfill the responsibility he has placed on our shoulders.

Not to forget Guidance is in the hands of Allah.

Pandemic - A wake up call

It was an unexpected knock on our doors when everything was going fine.We heard about covid virus and how it’s spreading like fire. Soon the fear started growing in our hearts. I was no exception. In the initial stages it took time for all of us to realise what was happening, we never experienced something like this before in our lives. To be honest, I had a feeling everything will be normal within weeks, but then I learned this is not something that simple, starting with the schools one by one everything started closing down eventually the masjids. It was all happening so quickly while we were still trying to figure out the scenario. Our norms were not the usual norms anymore.
