The Tarbiya

I am trying to grab words and put it together to express my amazement as a mother.

I saw a video of a small boy reciting shahada to his little sister on her death bed, a little girl keeping her wasiya (declaration a person makes whilst alive regarding their property), toddlers staying strong after losing parents...

If Allah made us witness these then definitely it is for a reason.
How did these mothers achieve to plant such strong, calm, brave, beautiful souls filled with Imaan?

The foundation of Tawakkul.
The ability to see hereafter in front of their eyes with yaqeen.
The amount of sabr.
The smile of contentment.
The dhikr of Allah in a very difficult situation.

We are struggling, planning, learning, taking notes on how to become a better parent.

Subhan Allah!!

These children and their parents living and the shaheed have shown us what is the
REAL TARBIYA or in simple words nurturing.

May Allah forgive us our shortcomings and help us fulfill the responsibility he has placed on our shoulders.

Not to forget Guidance is in the hands of Allah.

If not possible personally, an online meet involving lots of activities, fun crafts and online games will always keep them on their toes. Make sure you tell them the real purpose of fasting. “O You who believe! Fasting is prescribed upon you as it was prescribed o...

Embracing Ramadan in its true spirit

We enter the month of Ramadan with a lot of joy and excitement in our hearts, but we Muslim mummies also have anxiety deep inside about how to manage home, kids, school, iftars and suhoors, and not to forget taraweeh. This is the time that calls for effective planning and efficient usage of time. Planning always makes affairs smooth, but we also have to keep in mind that everything might not go as per plan. This is the reason why we must have realistic goals and understand that Ramadan is first and foremost a time for ibadah. To make the most of this blessed month, here are a few things we can do that’ll help us reap maximum rewards, while keeping us positively charged : 1. The first step is of course, to make sincere dua to Allah to make our affairs easy. Accept the fact that Allah has placed us exactly where we need to be, and Allah is all knowing. This will help us in getting rid of any unnecessary anxiety and pressure. 2. Ramadan is indeed the month of mercy, and its blessings re...
