The world was so excited and anticipating the arrival of 2020. But as the pandemic kept spreading we hardly noticed the whole year just flew by, and here we are already standing at the edge of it still finding it difficult to believe 2020 is ending. Indeed it is very sad we lost so many of our friends and relatives in a year and it is only by Allah’s mercy that we are still breathing. Alhamdulillah!! It was an unexpected knock on our doors when everything was going fine.We heard about covid virus and how it’s spreading like fire. Soon the fear started growing in our hearts. I was no exception. In the initial stages it took time for all of us to realise what was happening, we never experienced something like this before in our lives. To be honest, I had a feeling everything will be normal within weeks, but then I learned this is not something that simple, starting with the schools one by one everything started closing down eventually the masjids. It was all happening so quickly while we were still trying to figure out the scenario. Our norms were not the usual norms anymore.
