Rediscovering yourself, in the light of Islam

Rediscover yourself, in the light of Islam

Giving up is easy. Wake up to the NEW YOU now.
Life is too short and the world too fast-paced.
In trying to keep up with the demands of the world, we women tend to forget ourselves. But the fact is that we have a big role to play in the upbringing of a healthy generation.
In an age when everyone wants to reach for the skies and are ready to do anything for it, let us keep our desires in check with Islamic aspirations and work hard to reach far beyond the skies!
And remember, in this race for self-improvement, YOU are your best competitor.👍
Here, I try to hash out a few simple ideas to rediscover the real YOU.
⛅Inner strength or faith is the primary necessity of every woman.
Every creation of Allah is beautiful and so am I. Not this down in your mind.
Also, remember that Allah says, “I am as My slave thinks of Me”*  *Sahih Al Bukhaari #7405
⛅Smile
Here we come to the most ideal and definitely simple way to redefine your personality 😊 Smile.
It costs you nothing.
`Abdullah ibn Hārith (رضي الله عنه) said about him, “I have never seen anyone smile more than the Prophet ﷺ.”** **Tirmidhi, Vol. 1 Book 46, Hadith 3641
Psychologists have found that even if you’re in a bad mood, you can instantly lift your spirits by forcing yourself to smile.
By smiling you are not just gaining in this world but in the hereafter as well for Islam teaches us that smiling is a charity. Also, it is a sunnah of the Prophet Mohammad ﷺ.
⛅Being presentable builds our confidence.
As Muslimahs we are blessed that we dress ourselves modestly. Wearing clean and ironed clothes and abaya can make you feel nice.
“Cleanliness is half the faith”***
***Sahih Muslim 223
⛅Taking care of yourself both mentally and physically.
Try eating healthy as much as possible and always seek Allah’s help.
It was narrated that Ibn `Umar رضي الله عنهما said: “The Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم never abandoned these supplications, every morning and evening:
“O Allaah! I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in this world and in the Hereafter. O Allaah! I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religious and my worldly affairs. O Allaah! Conceal my faults, calm my fears, and protect me from before me and behind me, from my right and my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in You from being taken unaware from beneath me”
(Sunan Abu Dawood (5074), Ibn Maajah (3871) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee)
⛅“And put your trust in Allah only, if you believe.” (Quran 3:23)
This one verse should help us stop worrying too much.
⛅Nothing can beat natural beauty. The more make up you use, the more made up you’ll look.
⛅Along with being confident, Islam reminds us about another unavoidable quality a Muslimah should possess – hayaa’ or modesty.
Nothing makes a girl beautiful more than modest appearance and behavior.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Faith (Belief) consists of more than sixty branches (i.e. parts). And hayaa’ is a part of faith.”****
****Sahih al-Bukhari 9
⛅Every woman is strong and has a lot of potential, which goes unnoticed as she gets busy serving others.Figure out where your strength lies and get active.
⛅“Help others to help yourself”
As Muslimahs our intention when helping others should be to please Allah and hopefully get His help for ourselves.
⛅People tend to listen when one speaks clearly and to the point.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Do not indulge in excessive talk except when remembering Allah. Excessive talking without the Remembrance of Allah hardens the heart; and those who are the farthest from Allah are those whose hearts are hard.
[At-Tirmidhi]
Noted. Let’s work on it, in sha Allah.
⛅Spread happiness and peace as much as possible.
Start from your own home. Do not put a limit to hugs and kisses … touch indeed creates magic and who deserves it more than your immediate family?
According to research conducted at the University of North Carolina, women who receive more hugs from their partners have lower heart rates and blood pressure and higher levels of Oxycontin.
If you are still not feeling the positive vibes deep inside you, you definitely forgot to ask for Allah’s help.😊

The Tarbiya

I am trying to grab words and put it together to express my amazement as a mother. I saw a video of a small boy reciting shahada to his little sister on her death bed, a little girl keeping her wasiya (declaration a person makes whilst alive regarding their property), toddlers staying strong after losing parents... If Allah made us witness these then definitely it is for a reason.  How did these mothers achieve to plant such strong, calm, brave, beautiful souls filled with Imaan?  The foundation of Tawakkul. The ability to see hereafter in front of their eyes with yaqeen. The amount of sabr. The smile of contentment. The dhikr of Allah in a very difficult situation. We are struggling, planning, learning, taking notes on how to become a better parent. Subhan Allah!!  These children and their parents living and the shaheed have shown us what is the  REAL TARBIYA or in simple words nurturing. May Allah forgive us our shortcomings and help us fulfill the responsibility he has placed on our

✨Reflections

Before I forget, I wanted to pen down these reflections for myself to review later and I thought it might be beneficial to others if Allah wills. Today's Friday khutuba recording was about Surah Maryam.  ✨First Reflection The Imam spoke about how Zecharia (as) made a private dua asking Allah to grant him an heir from Allah Himself and pleasing to Allah. And indeed, I fear the successors after me, and my wife has been barren, so give me from Yourself an heir Maryam 19:6 يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَۖ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّا  Who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob. And make him, my Lord, pleasing [to You]." How a dua becomes so beautiful when you are asking Allah for something, which is again for Allah!! ✨Second Reflection How a baby is born without a father. Once again, a miracle that shows the omnipotence of Allah. Maryam (as), w
